Letsrent-Northampton has been providing 4,5 and 6 bed student accommodation in Northampton for three decades. Once a Northampton Uni student myself, I believe we have the right mix of personal service from our Northampton based House Manager, high standards and safety priorities. We look forward to meeting you and finding you your ideal student home from home. NB I'm sorry but we do not provide accommodation for families or have any shared rooms.

Landlady: My name is Debbie and I have owned a student letting business in Northampton since not long after graduating from teacher training at what was then called Nene College (now Northampton University). Over the years we have acquired 14 student houses. Student accommodation in Northampton has changed a great deal during this time but having had sons and a daughter at different Universities recently it helps us keep up with standards and in touch with expectations.

The Financial Brain: My husband Chris is a retired banker so does all the money side, we realise that students need someone always on hand so we employ a manager.

The Property Manager: Dee is the day to day contact. She gets to know our students personally, sorts out their needs and makes sure our student houses in Northampton stay safe and well maintained. She's a bit like their university mum! (See below). Dee has completed courses in Health and Safety and Fire Safety.

Above all we don't keep to office hours because we know that is not always when students want to talk.

The Property Manager says:
My name is Dee Seward and I am the Housing Manager for Letsrent Northampton. I began working life as a Sales and Mortgage Advisor for a local Estate Agent for 5 years. I then trained to be a secondary school teacher, specialising in Modern Languages. I have been a 6th Form tutor for most of my teaching career. I have two daughters, both of whom have recently graduated from universities, so know first-hand what it is like to find suitable accommodation for them and their friends. Managing the properties for Letsrent gives me the perfect opportunity to return to the property business and combine this experience with that of being a mentor to young adults.

Jim and Jemima the cats

Jim specialises in sleeping and eating. He can trick you in to leaving your chair and then pinch it while you are up thus making sure that the gullible Landlady gets regular breaks form her computer screen. Jim also provides a free of charge snoring paperweight service to office staff.
Jemima specialises in annoying Jim and talking to office staff, mostly registering the same complaint about breaks in the food supply.
Safety and services
​We take our tenants' well being as our top priority. All our student houses in Northampton are gas centrally heated, double glazed, have showers and in most cases baths as well and we have no small box rooms. Where possible we have policies in place guaranteeing professionals on hand when needed. We are members of, and ascribe to the code of conduct for, the National Residential Landlords Association and East Midlands Landlord Accreditation Services. We comply with all legislative requirements and in many cases exceed them. We use renewal green energy in our houses and make recycling as easy for our tenants as we can.
